Juan: We are currently finishing the new album, I just finished recording a new solo today, all the rhythm guitars are done, same with drums and bass, and the vocals are 95 percent finished as well.....we are anticipating an early 2003 release date for Europe.
2.Avenger sounds very strong and fast, and so is Earth Under. Is all the
album like this?
Juan: I would say most of the album is heavy similar to these songs. I am very satisfied with the songs so far. We still need to put some finishing touches and then mix down.
3.all your previous albums had a concept behind them. What is the concept
for this one?
Juan: The concept is New World Order and concentration camps in the future with conspiracies about UFO's and world domination....the order of the illuminati....the order of all things on this planet, and total control of the Planet Earth.
4.I see that you are planning an european tour.Where will you guys be
going? How did you decide to come to Europe?
Juan: We are planning an European tour for 2003. We toured Europe in 1999 to support Omega Conspiracy. This tour will be to support the new record "Order of the illuminati - Agent Steel 4".
5.According to your website, you had some problems with the recordings. What
happened?
Juan: To make a long story short, we had actual tracks that got erased off our hard drive on the computer and these songs were not backed up (we did not make safety copies) so it really was devastating to us. It only set us back about 4 weeks but things are normal now, and we are up and running and hope to be done with the new record by December.
6. I have to ask this- I am a webdesigner myself and i was impressed by your
site. Do you really bellieve in aliens?
Juan: I believe in extraterrestrial life yes. Somewhere in this universe there has to be higher intelligence and life. I believe that this Planet was visited by Aliens at sometime in the past, present, and will be visited again in the future.
7. You guys have been in this bussiness for a long time now.How did the
metal scene evolved, according to you?better or worse?
Juan: the scene has developed quite well, there was a time in the 90's were I thought the metal scene was over with, but like Ozzy Osbourne says "rock and roll will never die" the same thing applies to Metal and the scene.
8. What are your relations with John Cyriis now?
Juan: We communicate via email and I wish him the best in life. We had some differances in the past, but it's water under the bridge now. Things are on a positive note now.
9. a personal question:you guys have been apart for 12 years, then decided
to come back together. How did it feel like?
Juan: It was great, I remember when we rehearsed for the first time since we re-united and we went through 5 songs and it sounded so metal....it was like fuck! what the hell did we stop playing for in the first place!!!! There is something special about the Agent Steel songs...
10. What was Evildead like?Do you think about getting it back on?
Juan: Evil Dead was a project me and Mel Sanchez from Abattoir did in the late 80's - early 90's. The music is thrash metal (not quite as melodic as Agent Steel) but it's fast. We released 2 studio albums on SPV records "Annihilation of Civilization" and "The Underworld"
11. A final word.....
Juan: Keep the Metal flame burning!!!!!!!! for updates on Agent Steel visit our official site at www.agentsteelonline.com
