this band, announced with big fuss as the first signing of Manowar"s Mystic Circle Productions, fails to impress me.in more than one way.I cannot really understand what is it that Joey De Maio sees in them, but I also have to wonder what did he see in the latest Manowar release, which would probably explain in a certain measure what is going on here.
As far as I see and hear it, this band is nothing more than a good Death metal band, with nothing really special except maybe for the fact that they are slightly better than the average
as for the rest......nothing out of the ordinary. Yes, they are strong, aggressive and quite tight, but that pretty much goes for all surviving death metal bands nowadays.
The lyrics are on the same line with all the death metal lyrics, and although the band DOES sound well, there is nothing special about them that would explain the great interest and big press fuss that has been made over them.
Oh well, 6/10.......for an album that doesn't shine by anything
