Now there is an album that left me frustrated...For some reason,I miss Henk Laars's touch.
I don't want to insult Ian Parry here...or at least not too much, as he is indeed a great musician. Yet, for some reason,
I think that Henk Laars was the creative force behind Elegy.........
Fact is that today's Elegy is bland! There! I said it!
it's like an old stew that you keep on reheating, at some point it's just not doing anything for me anymore.
Patrick Rondat is not a bad guitarist, but he's just not from there,that's all there is to it!
Therefore, although today's Elegy sounds OK, it kinda left me dizzy and in a rather bizzarre mood
therefore, I am NOT looking forward to the next album!
