ok- so yet another german band goes bonkers and makes a whole album dedicated to a serial killer and cannibal.......Nice...So they are not exactly nice people- big deal.....
After getting over the grandmother objections, I get back to the music. Kadath are making a good death metal, with a grind edge to it... owing a lot to the american masters of the style.
The album is first and foremost very professionally made- the band sounds tight and - to be quite honest- while I am not a fan of the gory side of it, I can definitely appreciate the sound
Good old death metal- never get enough of it:-))
the video part of the CD shows the band live in great performances- made me headbang to it
while the album won't bring anything new to the genre and sometimes robbing of some old names in a bit of a shameless way- the whole of it is a nice and tight piece of true brutal metal, homogenously made, well produced and really really heavy.
the highlights of it would have to be The Devil of Rostov, as charming as a death metal song can be
