MISERY INDEX plays Death / Grind Metal on a very high level! The band just performed as part of the "Death Across America" tour, together with their labelmates Kataklysm. Misery Index is the musical project of former Dying Fetus vocalist, lyricist, and bassist Jason Netherton, along with fomer Pessimist, Cadaver Symposium, and Sadistic Torment, guitarist and vocalist Mike Harrison; former guitarist and bassist for Dying Fetus, MOD, and Fear of God, Sparky Voyles; and former Dying Fetus, MOD and Suffocation drummer Kevin Talley. The band is concentrating on writing material for their upcoming full-length album. They hope to record by January, with a release slated for April / May of 2003
Jason Netherton • Bass/Vocals
Sharing songwriting and vocal duties with Mike Harrison, Jason is the lyricist and bassist known mostly for his work in Dying Fetus. Jason's vocals, songwriting, lyrics and playing can be heard on the following Dying Fetus CDs: Infatuation With Malevolence, Purification Through Violence, Killing On Adrenaline, Grotesque Impalement and Destroy the Opposition.
Mike Harrison • Guitar/Vocals
Influenced by guitarists Bill Steer, Yngwie Malmsteen, Devin Townsend, Opeth and Morbid Angel. Mike's previous bands include: Cadaver Symposium, Mainframe, Autumn Dawn, Sadistic Torment and Pessimist. He's also contributed guest vocals on the last few Dying Fetus albums. Mike plays Ibanez guitars exclusively.
Kevin Talley • Drums
Former drummer for Dying Fetus, Suffocation and MOD, Kevin is influenced by Lars Ulrich, Dave Culross and Pete Sandoval. Kevin's playing can be heard on the following Dying Fetus CDs: Killing On Adrenaline, Grotesque Impalement and Destroy the Opposition. Kevin is endorsed by Sabian.
Sparky Voyles • Second Guitar
Former guitarist, songwriter, and bassist for Dying Fetus, MOD, Fear of God, and Sadistic Torment, Sparky is the second lead guitarist for Misery Index and is influenced by Erik Rutan, Trey Azagoth, Eddie Van Halen, and Marty Friedman. He can be heard on the following Dying Fetus CDs: Grotesque Impalement and Destroy the Opposition. Sparky plays Ibanez guitars exclusively.
