This is Primal Fears 3rd album, it contains 11 (+1 bonustrack=12) powerful great powermetal tracks.
The album is masterpiece, sound is even thicker than on Jaws of Death still staying as melodic. PR hired 5th member, 2nd guitarist to band that adds some power to sound also. In cd cover it says the cd contains also video of Angel in Black song witch i didnt found at my cd.. its forgotten on press? However it doesnt make the album any less enjoyable! :)
Album opens with Angel in Black, it has somekinda info of (those metalbirds on cover?) attacking, its fast and powerful song.
Scheepers vocals sounds more stronger than ever before! It kinda sets high requirements to rest of the songs.. does rest of the song succeeds? Yes!! Continuing with Kiss of Death is nearly as heavy another fast song with great guitarsolo.
Back From Hell has great starting riff! Its very fast killer song where Scheepers sings and screams like no tomorrow, but not with annoying style. It actually sounds great! It reminds me of Rob Halford! Mat Sinner adding greatly depth to vocals with his own style, he also has great voice! Back From Hell also features great guitarsolo as most of the songs anyways.
Now or Never starts melodically with pounding bass and keyboards! Its mid-tempo very rocking song! Also heavy stuff, with slower rocking
way.
Fight The Fire starts with very powerful starting-riff! Its fast tempo song and very powerful one as usual... killer guitarsolo!
Eye of an Eagle is pretty fast song being slower than last one, groovy starting riff.. as rest of the song too! Songs about those 'steel eagles' mystical attacks.
Next one, Bleed for Me, starts with slower acoustic part. Its slower song being not as heavy overall as other songs its very melodic having its own heavier parts also. Nuclear Fire starts with melodic guitarplay, its also overall a bit lighter sounding song than most, but its fast unlike Bleed for Me. Melody in this title track song reminds me somewhat Hammerfall as extra heavy at some parts.
Red Rain begins with heavy starting riff, its also pretty fast song. It sounds heavier than title track, and its good thing after two bit lighter (Bleed for Me, Nuclear Fire) songs.
The bonustrack, Iron Fist In a Velvet Glove, starts with short acoustic intro, its between mid-tempo and fast tempo song, very melodic song with its lighter and heavier parts. Using of vocals between Sinner and Scheepers.. just awesome work! Those mix together really nice!
Guitarsolo is great (as usual).
Fire on The Horizon starts with heavy starting riff, its fast tempo song, very rocking, and heavy one!
Ender song, Living for Metal, starts with ripping Scheepers screaming! Sounds like Halford at beginning of some classic Priest songs! :). The song is obviosly dedicated for fans!! Mid-tempo strong rocking song, with heavy pounding drums. Scheepers sings very high and powerful on this song as in Back From Hell.
If Jaws of Death was great very powerful album, this is even more thicker and powerful! Scheepers sounds more powerful than ever, album features second guitarist now first time. 14 tracks long album with.. not only powermetal, but POWERFUL powermetal with no poor or avarage tracks! All tracks are great and its hard to select standout tracks on this album!
So everyone leave your shitty Slipknots and run to order Nuclear Fire from closest possible place! ROAAARR :))
