the first thing that can be said about RABID is that they are from Nashville, Tennessee, USA:
And they are not a country band.
In fact, it is safe to say that Rabid are a metal band, and not only that but a REAL metal band.
Their album is nothing less than spectacular and it sure is nice to see that american metal is a lot more than just NU metal and Manowar.
It's like a metal journey in the rock f the past 20 years, and I say that in the best possible way.
If you fancy some good heavy metal with some punk reminiscences and some slight Metallica...I mean the good old Metallica, before they became commercial scum!!
The heavy-punk style voice of Brett Woodroof fits well with the aggressive guitar riffs, and once you got over that, you have some more surprises to discover, as one of the things that mainly makes them special is their sense of humour
One cannot stop laughing after listening to "Peter's Bunny" and for very good reasons, and a visit to the band's website is equally as entertaining.
The guitarwork sounds cool and tight together , and although Scott Boyd is still fighting a frail health, RABID are not letting grass grow beneath their feet.
The bottom line is that RABID are a bunch of professional musicians, and although this CD is just a demo, it says it out loud
