Fresh out of Sweden, SERPENT are a new death metal band who means some serious bussiness.
As the purpose of "Band of the Week" is to present new interesting acts,here they are, with an interview and some interesting facts :

2. is Death metal still a big thing in sweden?
The melodic Death/black metal "In Flames" are big in Sweden but many bands in Sweden try to sound like "In Flames" but why buy a copy when you can get the original "In Flames" ? ( if you are into that kind of metal check out Children of Bodom they are even better than In Flames )
SERPENT draws their musical influences from many diffrent styles of
the Hard Rock genré and the Death Metal style we like was never the Swedish ( Entombed,Dismember,e.t.c. ) It is the Florida style Morbid Angel,Deicide,Massacre .e.t.c.)
3. is this album a study on war or a protest against it?
It´s a study of war and society
4.who produced the CD?
We did ! We hope to get a recording contract to go in to a real studio and create a killer sound.

Are you planning to tour with it?
No plans for tour at the moment ! We are currently writing new songs.
