Another LP i succeed to find used and bought. Once again im very pleased i bought this one.
For those who don't know, Tyran' Pace was very Judas Priest kind of a band (especially the singer
Ralf Scheepers) from 80's. Well this is their 3rd record which sounds less Judas Priest than
2 previous ones. Here is more straight "party" feel than for example Scheepers later bands
like Primal Fear if i'd compare to that. Drumwork is not very technical but instead very
heavy beating. Guitarwork is ripping i really like it. Vocals of Scheepers are guaranteed,
pretty high pitched and powerfull (closest comparison, Halford). Like i said this album
has more party feel and all songs aren't serious but they are still very good, very free.
Opener Saints of Rock is very good mid-tempo beater. Faster moments here are guaranteed by
Cry Out, Criminal, Matter of Time and the great Madness... truly great metal moments.
Hands in The Air is something that brings live feeling to my mind, its a mid-fast ripping
song. Get Down is funny and heavy mid-fast song and one of my favourites here. Its about
a cheating girlfriend/wife or something thats how i understood, chorus "Get down from my woman,
better, get down. Come'on! Get Down...". Only that there's talking part at the 3/4 of the
song which is kind of a glitché:
-"Hey what are you doing here?"
-"What does it looks like?"
-"Looks like im gonna kick your ass up and down the block!"
-"Oh yea!?"
-"Come and get me!"
-"My pleasure..."
*breaking glass etc. effects*
...oh well, you can't take that anything but a joke :) Then, the album kind of ends too fast.
Second last song Fire In Your Eyes is just an avarage, but not bad. We Are Strong is a hymnkind,
not bad either but i use to skip it. And that's it! Album ends... Or maybe it just feels like
short album because its so good and entertaining i dont know. Anyway very good offering
from year '86 with "not so serious, free and entertaining"-athmosphere, but nothing lousy,
ripping axework and vocals will take care of that!
