ANTHRAX has always been a bit too fluctuating for their own good...
They can make good albums when they put their heads to it- and some pretty shitty ones when they don't!
They have been around for so long that, before 9/11. a lot of people didn't really know the other meaning of the word anthrax...
back to this album - well, I am not sure about it.
I truly bellieve it is the first serious album thay have done since Sound of White Noise, yet , although the album is indeed very well worked and solid, thereis somethign about it that kinda bothers me.
It's the fact that there is something very serious missing from it, and that is the innovation...
Anthrax are real musicians, and each of their albums, even the less good ones, all had that new thing sabout them that no one has done before...
And it is exactly what this album lacks...
There is no spark of creativity on this album, nothing new , nothing exciting...
Are Anthrax getting old?
because this is the feeling I am getting from this album...
Anthrax are getting too old to be innovative...keeping it safe...acting like superstars that don't need to put their bones into it
...
All in all, we have an album that is good ad solid and that is about it...
Some strong traces of their old sparkle, solid riffs...good themes and that is about it...
I mean, they are ANTHRAX, right?
Well, not any more..
I am sorry, guys, but this album does not do it for me...
